Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt-free garlic and herb seasoning, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. Place the turkey breast skin side up in a roasting pan. Gently loosen the skin with your fingers and brush half of the butter mixture over the turkey breast and underneath the skin. Reserve the remaining butter mixture for later.

  4. Loosely tent the turkey breast with aluminum foil to help retain moisture.

  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 1 hour. After 1 hour, baste the turkey with the remaining butter mixture and return it to the oven.

  6. Continue roasting until the juices run clear and an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part (not touching bone) reads 165°F (65°C), which will take about an additional 30 minutes.

  7. Once done, let the turkey breast rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute, making each slice more flavorful!

  8. While the turkey is resting, make the gravy. Transfer the pan drippings to a skillet and skim off excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon.

  9. Over low heat, cook and stir the minced shallot in the turkey grease until it becomes opaque (about 5 minutes).

  10. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet with the shallot, followed by a splash of white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.

  11. Whisk in the chicken stock and flour until smooth. Bring this to a simmer, whisking constantly until it thickens. For a creamier gravy, whisk in half-and-half.

Tips

🍽️ Serve the turkey breast with classic sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, or cranberry sauce for a festive touch.

🥗 Leftovers are great in sandwiches, salads, or even soups—get creative!
